If you are going to use your social media outlets effectively then you need to stop pitching. What you need to do is start building relationships, building an audience, building a following.
Stay focused on the fact that it’s “social” media. Think about this for a moment. If you went to a party and as soon as you walked in the door you started to try to sell your products to everyone you spoke to. How well do you think you’d do? You’d be committing social suicide right? The same goes for online social media.
The bottom line is that if you don’t start to think about how you use your social media and continue to be the ‘a-hole’ of the party you’ll never make a single penny with affiliate marketing. If people buy from people they know, like, and trust then the guy who is constantly pitching product at the party is neither liked nor trusted and no one will ever take the time to get to know them.
In today’s online world if you want to be successful then get your head out of your ass, quit spamming social media and get back to basics. Learn how to build relationships, let people get to know you, be likeable and be helpful. Only then will they want to listen to your pitch and be persuaded to spend money with you.

These are just few questions you need to ask yourself about the product you want to promote. Be creative and see how far you can take this. The more you know about your market the easier it will be to match a product to them that they will be knocking down your door to get hold of.

Competition is a good thing. Most people are scared of competition. Competition tells us a number of things about the niche, and the market. It tells us first of all that there is a market. Competition tells us that people in that market are buying products. It also tells us that there are enough people buying that marketers are making enough money from that market to pay for promotion.
Using free tools like Google’s Keyword Tool, Trends, Insights for Search and others can quickly expose the competition and allow you to find the niches that are easily dominated. \
